Keys to Building Secure Attachment:
An Introduction to Attachment Theory and the Circle of Security

Presented by Heather Craige, MSW, Psychoanalyst


Program Description: Heather Craige will present key concepts from attachment theory and illustrate how these ideas can be simply and powerfully conveyed to parents using the Circle of Security ® Parenting™ video and graphics. This talk is for therapists who want a basic understanding of attachment theory and others who care for families with young children in agencies, faith communities, clinics, classrooms, or private practice.


About the Presenter:

Heather Craige, MSW, a clinical social worker and psychoanalyst, is an engaging teacher with a passion for strengthening families and a talent for translating attachment theory into plain language. A member of the PCC faculty, Heather teaches courses on relational psychoanalysis, attachment theory, and trauma. She led the team that brings Circle of Security Parenting facilitator training to North Carolina from 2016 to 2021.

 



This event is free of charge, but registration is required by November 1, 2023.

CEUs will not be offered for The Seasoned Clinician’s Notebook, but Letters of Attendance will be sent upon completion of a program evaluation survey.
