925 – Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Case Consultation
Description: This 8-week case conference provides a forum for in-depth exploration of clinical processes through the lens of contemporary psychodynamic theory. Participants will present ongoing psychotherapy cases for discussion, receiving feedback grounded in clinical technique, transference/countertransference dynamics, and psychoanalytic theoretical conceptualization. Readings will support clinical discussion, emphasizing key concepts such as unconscious communication, defensive/protective processes, transference/countertransference dynamics, enactment, and therapeutic action.
Target Audience: Psychoanalytic psychotherapy clinicians and early career or licensed mental health professionals with at least a basic familiarity with psychodynamic theory and practice. Introductory to Intermediate. This course will be limited to 13 participants.
Prerequisite: Students should have completed an Introduction to Psychoanalysis course, or equivalent.
