924 – Living Blackness in America: Psychodynamic Perspectives of the Black Experience

Description: This course examines the complex and subjective experiences of living as a Black individual in the United States.

Target Audience: This course is designed for beginning clinicians, psychoanalytic clinicians, and graduate students interested in mental health, particularly psychoanalytic approaches, and in working therapeutically with Black Americans. Enrollment will be limited to 12 seats.

Prerequisite: Students should have a foundational understanding of psychoanalytic theory and its application in patient treatment. Applicants can fulfill this requirement through prior coursework, training, or supervision. Those who do not meet this requirement may still enroll in the course with the instructor’s permission.
