501 – Adult Case Conference
Description: The course seeks to examine closely the fine-tuned analytic process of one psychoanalytic case. We will explore verbatim notes for manifestations of transference, countertransference, clarification, interpretation, resistance, linking, dreams, and frame. In this seminar participants present adult case material. A variety of technical issues related to working with adults in psychoanalysis are discussed.
Target Audience: This course is at the intermediate through advanced level.
Prerequisite: This class is open to matriculated Psychoanalytic Adult or Adult/Child students who have completed all, or nearly all, of the Core Curriculum at the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas. The instructor may make some exceptions to the requirements. Please get in touch with the instructor directly about permission to join the class outside these prerequisites.
